All Cash Productions has just released the theatrical trailer for For the Love of Money, where Cody plays Young Isaac.
The production team for Cody’s newest movie, Not Today has just released the first trailer. Are you excited as I am?
The doctor is in! Daytime fan fave Sydney Penny — so triumphant as the tragic heroine Julia Santos on All My Children — is joining NBC’s Days of Our Lives for a seven-episode stint. A network rep tells TV Guide Magazine that Penny will play Dr. Norman at the rehab center treating drug addict Carly Manning (Crystal Chappell).
And there’s more cool casting news here. Carly’s son, Nicholas Alamain, will return to the show as part of Carly’s rehab story and this time the role will be played by former Make It or Break It heartthrob Cody Longo. After mother and son are reunited and Carly seems to be on the mend, look for Chappell — who has been fired along with several other Days stars — to be ushered off the series.
Penny, who will start airing on Days August 30, was Emmy-nominated for her roles on AMC and Santa Barbara and also had suds runs on The Bold and the Beautiful, Sunset Beach and Beverly Hills, 90210. The actress is still fondly remembered by romance nuts as the young Meggie in the classic ABC mini-series The Thorn Birds.

‘Black Swan’ thesp set to star in the indie drama/thriller
“Black Swan” thesp Toby Hemingway is set to star in the indie pic “The Silent Thief” alongside Scout Taylor Compton and Cody Longo.
Josh Pence, who’s currently filming “The Dark Knight Rises,” is also in negotiations for one of the lead roles, while “Modern Family” star Reid Ewing is set to cameo.Hemingway stars as a drifter who descends upon a family in crisis and suggests an odd solution: he’ll take their biological son’s place in the family unit. The situation unravels as his ingratiation tactics become pernicious.
Jennifer Clary is directing from a script she co-wrote with Kevin Haberer and Chris Sapp. Haberer is producing though his and Clary’s Jenkev Prods. banner.
Longo will play a closeted athlete, while Pence is in talks to play his best friend and secret boyfriend.
“The Silent Thief” is slated to start production at the end of July in Los Angeles.
Hemingway has been making a name for himself of late, having recently wrapped Andrew Niccol’s New Regency thriller “In Time,” which stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. Thesp will soon be seen in the indie “The Ganzfeld Experiment.”
Hemingway is repped by CAA, 3 Arts Entertainment and attorney David Matlof of Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof & Fishman.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that, on January 11, 2011, it will release Piranha on DVD and on Blu-ray in two editions: a 2D Blu-ray and a 3D Blu-ray which also includes the 2D version but reportedly misses out on some special features. This Weinstein Company production, directed by Alexandre Aja, features “buckets of blood, gratuitous nudity and can’t-miss cameos by Hollywood legends Richard Dreyfuss and Christopher Lloyd, plus horror maestro Eli Roth.”
Note that when it opened in theaters, this movie was originally titled Piranha 3D, with “3D” as part of the title, but for the home video release SPHE has decided to drop the 3D tag, probably to avoid confusing the public.
